Neonatal nurses play a special role in connecting patient families with information and support during their NICU stay, preparing for discharge, and beyond. The Canadian Premature Babies Foundation offers a wealth of medically informed content, delivered from a parent perspective. Foundation volunteer and retired NICU nurse Marianne Bracht talks about some of the resources available, including a report on improving RSV education, common winter illness materials, and the CPBF’s own podcast.
Marianne Bracht has more than four decades experience as a neonatal nurse, supporting families and other medical professionals at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. She is a key volunteer with the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation, helping build and promote the Family Ambassador program that aims to support NICU families. Marianne is also an active committee member with FiCare, both the Nationally and Internationally.
