Technological advances and research are improving survival rates of micro-preemies. This is resulting in an increased understanding of many interconnected conditions and diseases, including pulmonary vascular disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Dany Weisz walks us through the current understanding and how this is impacting research, treatment, and outcomes.

He completed medical school at the University of Western Ontario, residency in general pediatrics at the University of Ottawa, clinical fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine and Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the University of Toronto. His research interests include the physiology and epidemiology of patent ductus arteriosus in preterm infants and non-invasive cardiac monitoring.
