Biography: Dr. Aaron Chiu is the associate dean, Quality Improvement and Accreditation, and associate professor of pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology took on the associate dean role in 2016. Dr. Chiu joined University of Manitoba as a faculty member in 1998 and practices neonatology at the HSC Winnipeg Women’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and at the St. Boniface Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. He is the chair of the Manitoba RSV Immunoprophylaxis Program Committee, and deputy chair of the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools. He has held the position of chair of neonatal-perinatal medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, was a board member of MD Financial Holdings and was president of Doctors Manitoba (2017-18). Dr. Chiu is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he undertook his undergraduate education and attended medical school. He completed his residency and a neonatal-perinatal fellowship at the University of Ottawa. In 2012, he earned his masters of business administration from UM’s Asper School of Business and was a Gold Medal recipient."
